Go to the shopThese guidelines help ensure fast turnaround and the best possible print quality.
To keep production on schedule and deliver clean, accurate wrap prints, please submit artwork that follows the requirements below. Files that do not meet these standards may require prepress adjustments, which can affect turnaround time and final output.
Design width: Your artwork must be at least 1 inch narrower than the media width you select.
Example: If you choose 60 inch media, the maximum artwork width is 59 inches.
Artboard/canvas: Keep the entire printable design inside the artboard. Elements outside the artboard may not output.
Remove extra space: Trim unnecessary blank/white space around the artwork to avoid scaling or alignment issues.
Print quality is directly impacted by the resolution and scale of the files you provide.
Maximum file size: Up to 1 GB per file.
Resolution: For large-format wraps, 72 PPI at full size (1:1) is a recommended minimum baseline.
Quality note: Lower-resolution files may print soft, blurry, or pixelated, especially fine details and small text.
If exact color matching is critical, contact Print Custom Wraps before ordering to discuss options (such as printed reference materials).
Preferred color mode: Submit in CMYK whenever possible.
RGB submissions: RGB (or other modes) may be converted for print, and visible color shifts can occur.
Color profiles: Avoid embedding profiles unless your workflow specifically requires it.
Spot/Pantone colors: Spot color references are not guaranteed to match Pantone exactly on printed material.
Fonts: Embed fonts or convert all text to outlines/paths.
Effects & transparency: Flatten or rasterize complex effects (shadows, glows, overlays, blends, heavy gradients) to prevent unexpected output.
Overprint: Disable overprint unless intentionally used—accidental settings can cause elements to print incorrectly or disappear.
If you submit layered source files (AI/PSD/PSB, etc.), make sure all linked assets are embedded or included as a properly packaged file set. Missing links can result in blank areas or low-resolution output.
Best practice: A print-ready PDF is usually the most reliable option for consistent results. When available, PDF/X-1a is a strong standard for print production.
